Margaret "Peg" Ross

Margaret “Peg” E. Ross, age 74, of Riceville, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center. Margaret was born on July 17, 1950, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the daughter of Benjamin and Beverly (Koehler) Leuenberger. Her family moved to Tripoli, Iowa in 1960, where she attended Frederika Elementary School. Soon after her father’s passing, her mother moved to Fairbank, Iowa, where Peg graduated from Wapsi Valley High School. Following school Margaret married James Bentley. From this union they had two children, Lona and Lief Bentley. Margaret is survived by her children, Lief Bentley of Dows, IA, Lona Lee Bentley of Florida; sister, Betty Soukup of Clear Lake, IA, and a brother Bob Leuenberger of Fairbank, IA, along with nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Brenda Leuenberger of Fairbank, IA, Jean Karami of Austin, TX, Joan Allen of Austin, TX, Bev Jennison of McIntire, IA; and a brother, Ron Leuenberger of Sumner, IA.
