Angela Marie Werner

Angela M. Werner, age 95, of Osage, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Faith Lutheran Home in Osage. Angela was born on May 26, 1929, in Osage, Iowa, to Joseph and Dorothy (Smith) Hemann. Angela married Herbert Werner on October 29, 1947, at the Sacred Heart Church in Meyer, Iowa. She was a dedicated member of the Sacred Heart Church in Osage and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family playing cards, solving word search puzzles, and embarking on travels. Angela's passion for baking, fishing, and embroidery brought smiles to those around her. Angela is survived by her children, Jim (Dort) Werner of Osage, IA, Dori Werner of Osage, IA, Joe Werner of Osage, IA, LeGene (Alan) Smith of Osage, IA, John (Carolyn) Werner of Osage, IA; daughter-in-law, Myra Werner of Arkansas; siblings, Sister Kenneth Hemann of Dubuque, IA, Ken (Anne) Hemann of St. Ansgar, IA, Theresa Theis of Manly, IA, along with 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and a few great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Herb Werner, daughter Cindy and her husband Maylon Wigant; sons, Randy Werner and Andy Werner; parents, Joseph and Dorothy Hemann; brothers, Ray, Cletus, John, Bob, and Artie Hemann; sisters-in-law Beatrice, Joan, Norraine, Kate, Darlene, and a brother-in-law George. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Osage, IA, with a visitation being held one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Osage, IA. Champion Funeral Home of Osage is assisting the family with arrangements.
