Robert Junior Pinneke

Robert J Pinneke (84) of St. Ansgar passed away on September 2nd of 2024 at his home. He was born June 9th, 1940 in Mason City, the son of William and Rose (Behm) Pinneke. Robert was united in marriage to Dee (Oudekerk) Pinneke on October 23, 1960 and remained married for 59 years before her passing in 2019. He worked in siding and insulation for 60+ years, at times beside his wife, before deciding to devote the rest of his time to his family and hobbies. Robert had many hobbies throughout his life. He spent many hours enjoying the outdoors. From water skiing down the Cedar River, racing cars and snowmobiles, spending weekends camping, playing games of poker amongst friends, enjoying rounds of golf, tending to his gardens, and filling his numerous bird feeders. He loved spending any amount of time with his family and was immensely proud of all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him would know him as a kind hearted, generous, hard working and humble man. With his love of animals came a variety of pets over the years. From many dogs and cats, to goats, parrots, a ferret, a raccoon, horses, a pig, and one lame cow. Robert is survived by his son Bob (Carol) Greimann; his daughters Deb James, Dawn (Steve) Albright, and Deniece Pinneke; grandchildren Jeremy James, Jennifer (Mike) Moorehead, Justin (Caitlin) James, Cory (Melissa) Greimann; great grandchildren Gage, Ashton, Gavin, Keegan, Jace, Jax, and Charlye Preceded in death by his wife Dee, parents, son in law, three sisters, one brother, and three stepbrothers.
