Joseph Peter Hanson

Joseph P. Hanson,63, of Osage , passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center surrounded by family. A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Champion Funeral Home in Osage. Joe was born on February 12, 1961 to Raymond Sr. and Roberta (Smith) Hanson. He graduated from Osage High School in 1979. On August 26, 1988 he was united in marriage to Leanne Brown. To this union they were blessed with two daughters, Caitlin and Jessica. They later divorced. He worked for Osage Manufacturing in Osage. Joe enjoyed fishing, catching up with friends and spending time with his daughters and grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Those to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Caitlin (Cody) Forburger of Mason City and their son Landon and Jessica Knoke of Charles City and her children, Lillian Mayer, Grayson, Braxton, Addeline and Wattson Knoke; father, Raymond Hanson of Osage; sister Penny (Mike) Counsell of Osage; sister-in-law Donna Hanson of Little Cedar and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Hanson; brothers, Raymond Hanson and Ronald Hanson; nephew, Mike Hanson and his beloved dog Sadie. Champion Funeral Home 641-732-3706
