Steven Miles Marsh, 60, passed away on April 3, 2024, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love. Steve was born on June 3, 1963, at a hospital in San Francisco, California. He was the son of Bruce and Joanne Marsh. He attended St. Ansgar High School and graduated in 1982. Steve grew up in Grafton, he then joined the Navy and was based in the Philippines (6 months) and Hawaii (6 months). After leaving the service, he moved to Idaho where he lived for many years and eventually returned to Grafton. Steve had a diverse range of hobbies. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He had a fondness for watching NASCAR and classic western movies. He cherished spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. Steve had a varied work history and had worked as an oil rig worker, farmhand, and truck driver, among other jobs. Steve was known for his exceptional storytelling skills. Those who knew him can attest to his ability to add vivid details to his stories each time he retold them. His laughter was unforgettable and contagious. Steve had a kind and generous heart and cherished his family and friends. He will always be remembered for these qualities. He is survived by his: father, Bruce and special friend Genny; his daughter, Aubrey (Jake) Dewitte of Hayden, Idaho; son, Ian Marsh of Osage, Iowa; two grandchildren, Madelyn and Freya; brother, Darren (Lori) Marsh of Grafton and their children, Abbie and Cody; sister Kelli (Mike) Hemann of Stacyville and their daughter, Samantha; many nieces and nephews and greats. The family of Steve acknowledges your kind expressions of sympathy at their time of loss. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024, at the Grafton Cemetery with a small gathering to follow. A Celebration of Life will take place Sunday, June 2, 2024, details to follow.
