Ronald Lee Wangen

Ronald Lee Wangen, 74, died February 11, 2024 at his home in Northwood. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Schroeder and Sites Funeral Home in Northwood from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Ron was born on September 5, 1949 to Ray and Violet (Swella) Wangen at Naeve Hospital in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Ron went into the Army in April of 1970 and served in Vietnam for a year. He was Honorably Discharged in December of 1971. Ron married Judy Crane in July of 1981. They moved to Northwood in December of 1995. Ron worked for the Glenville School District for 8 years. Later he drove truck, running a consistent route to Wisconsin. Ron enjoyed bowling and golfing, and loved his T.V. He indulged in coffee and sweets. Ron is survived by his: wife, Judy; daughter, Tena (Jason Long) Burnes; sons, Kyle (Suzanne) Cipra, Ryan (Laura) Wangen and Joshua (Brianna Peterson) Wangen; grandchildren, Ian, Christian, Evan, Brooke, Aidan, Odin, Nolan, Hudson; great-granddaughter, Lily; brothers, Dean (Carolyn) Wangen, Wayne Wangen and Guy Wangen; sisters-in-law, Patricia Crane and Maxine Crane; and many nieces and nephews. Ron is preceded in death by his: parents; mother and father-in-law; brother, Kieth; brothers-in-law, LaDon Crane, Richard Crane and Robert Crane.
