Phyllis Mae Krones, age 85, of Osage, died Sunday, February 4, 2024, at her home in Osage. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Osage with Paster Bruce Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Champion Funeral Home in Osage. Phyllis was born May 30, 1938, in Riceville, Iowa, the daughter of Alvin and Effie (Shoger) McKee. She attended school in Riceville. In 1982 Phyllis received her G.E.D. and was very proud of it. On September 7, 1957, Phyllis married Stanley Lester Krones at Rock Creek Lutheran Church in rural Osage. Phyllis worked at Osage Community Schools in the food service for 25 years and later worked part-time and also substituted. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was L.W.M.L member, Bible study groups and Monday morning quilting. Phyllis was baptized and confirmed at Rock Creek Lutheran Church. Phyllis enjoyed camping with Stan, sewing, dancing, playing cards and playing the keyboard. Phyllis is survived by; her children, Duane (Lisa) Krones of Osage, Lisa (Kevin) Eichmeier of Osage and Gary (Amy) Krones of Osage; grandchildren, Stephanie (Ryan) Ketelsen, Lindsey (Keith) Dyball, Shawn and Reece Eichmeier, Alicia (Brett) Walke, Samantha Krones, Mackenzie Adams, Kaitlyn Krones, Lauryn and Allison McFarland; great- grandchildren, Cully Driscoll, John Kloberdanz, Rosie Obanion, Summer Ketelsen, Emma, Maverick, Benson, Jackson Dyball, Tyree and Rowan Adams, Stanley and Raelynn Walke ; sister-in-law, Ginnie Krones of Hanover, Minnesota and many nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley; siblings, Audrey (Art) Altick and Verle (Uva) McKee; sister-in- law, Sandra (Vernon) Heckstein; brother-in-law, David Krones and great granddaughters , Giana Jo Ketelsen and Kapri Ketelsen. www.schroederfuneralhomes.com Champion Funeral Home in Osage, (641)732-3706.
