Teresa [Ring] Dorsey was born August 15 1956, At Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage Iowa. Teresa was raised on the family farm near Orchard Ia by Earl and Belvia [Ring] Lovik She graduated from Osage High School in 1974 On August 2 1974, Teresa was united in marriage to Patrick Dorsey at St John’s Lutheran Church in Osage, Iowa. Out of this union two children were born. Jonathan and Breanna. Teresa worked at various jobs during her life. Pritchard’s Coast to Coast,. Grant Grundmeier Photography,. Tri-County F.S., Wallace Computer and Patterson Seeds until retirement in 2018. In her spare time Teresa would do Arts and Crafts like making pottery and painting them. Also, later in life she took up the craft of quilting. Made many quilts and gave them to special people in need or sell them at cancer fund raisers. Teresa also had a group of quilting gals called The Six Pack. They would get together and go for lunch about once a month. Teresa had an eye for antiques. She learned that from Teresa’s father in-law Gene Dorsey. Her home if you visit is full of items they have been refurbished by Teresa Teresa loved growing flowers around the home and took pride in her green thumb. She also enjoyed camping in their RV at campgrounds around the area. Her favorite area to camp was Rapid City S.D. Teresa rode her own motorcycle on many road trips with Pat. She also enjoyed going riding in their off road vehicle in Wisconsin, Tennessee and South Dakota. and loved boating with her husband and getting a tan at the same time. Loved being on the water on a sunny day at Clear Lake, Okoboji and Mississippi River. And exploring antique shops too. Teresa was a great cook, and had recipes handed down from many family members. Her grandkid’s and great grandkids were her pride and joy. The sleep overs and spending time with them with special activities in the home or outside the home. Spending time at ball games, basketball games, movies, swimming and lego shopping trips. And their weekly trip to Kwik Star for milkshakes, or just chilling out with Grandma doing Grandma things. Teresa will be forever remembered by her family and friends for her beautiful smile she wore everyday, the way she handled all situations with ease and for being an outstanding companion, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Teresa was our family’s foundation and backbone. Teresa is survived by her husband Pat of 49 years. Two children, Jonathan of Minneapolis. Breanna Fox and husband Justin, and their children, Josie and Jasper of New Haven and Jaycee [Will] of Charles City and Great Granddaughter Leticia. Also the many cousins, nieces and nephews that were very dear to Teresa also. Teresa was preceded in death by father Earl Ring. Step father Howard Lovik.
