Raymond D. Hanson

Raymond D. Hanson,68, of Little Cedar , passed away Thursday, December 28, 20233 at Mitchell County Regional Health Center. Private services will be held at a later date. Ray was born on September 28, 1955 to Raymond Sr. and Roberta (Smith) Hanson. He graduated from Osage High School in 1974.in 1977 he was united in marriage to Donna Counsell. To this union they were blessed with two sons, Mike and Jason. He worked for the John Deere store in Osage for 43 years. After his retirement in 2020 he worked part time for Mitchell County Highway Department an Rick Sletten. Ray enjoyed going to his grandsons sporting events and wrestling tournaments. Those to cherish his memory are his wife, Donna Hanson of Little Cedar; son, Jason (Amber) Hanson of Stacyville; four grandsons, Rylen, Easton, Tysen and Paxten Hanson; father, Raymond Hanson of Osage; sister Penny (Mike) Counsell of Osage; sister-in-law, Deb (Denny) Conrad of Little Cedar and brother, Joe Hanson of Osage. He was preceded in death by his son, Mike in 2023; his mother, Roberta Hanson; in-laws, Bob and Alta Counsell and sister-in-law, Darla Kelley. Champion Funeral Home 641-732-3706
