Pauline Yvonne Winer passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Osage Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Osage. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at St. Ansgar United Methodist Church with Pastor Bruce Wittern officiating. Inurnment will take place at Little Cedar Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023 at St. Ansgar United Methodist Church. Pauline was born October 6, 1938 to John and Allegra (Power) Smith in Mitchell County, IA. Pauline grew up in Mitchell County . She graduated from Osage High School in 1957. Pauline and Carroll Winer were united in Marriage on October 10, 1957 at the First United Methodist Church in Osage, IA. This marriage was blessed with 3 children, John, Brian and Kimberly. Pauline worked at the A&W Drive In for 3 years, Pryer’s Drive In for 1 year and then worked at Fox River Mills for 35 years. She collected Precious Moments and taking day trips. Pauline enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She is proceeded in death by her sons, John and Brian; sisters, Jackie Reams and Allegra (Joker) Garrison; her parents; John and Allegra Smith; and Carroll’s parents. Pauline is survived by her husband Carroll Winer of Osage; daughter, Kimberly Hinz of Mason City Grandchildren; Brent (Lisa) Hinz of Charles City and Sabra (Ryan) Schipper of Aplington; Great Grandchildren; Sydney, Harley, Siera, Hunter, Hudson, Eli, Isaac, Oliver, Austin, Abby and Aaron; twin sister, Georgene (Roger) Pitzen of Marion ; adopted brother, Carroll “Nick” Nichol of Osage and many nieces and nephews.
