Donovan Eugene Dahlby

Donovan Eugene Dahlby, 87, of Northwood, died Thursday, February 16, 2023 at MercyOne Hospice North Iowa. Donovan was born on June 29, 1935 in Worth County, Iowa to Daniel Irving and Eleanor Winifred (Hanson) Dahlby. He was baptized and confirmed at Somber Church. He attended Bristol #5 grade school and graduated from Joice Highschool. He spent 4 years in the Iowa National Guard. Dovovan married Eileen Dralla in 1955 and to this union two children were born, Deanna Dahlby and Dale Dahlby. Donovan enjoyed spending many years farming in Iowa. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, and snowmobiling. On November 8, 1997 he married Gail Ann (Orum) Timmerman. They enjoyed many winters in Mesa, AZ enjoying the sunshine and warmer weather. He is survived by his: wife, Gail; children, Dale Dahlby, Deanna Krull, Scott Timmerman, Troy Timmerman, and Jen Brown; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger; sister, Marian Iverson; nieces, nephews and many other family members. He is preceded in death by his: parents; brothers, Allen (infancy), Richard, and Chuck; brother-in-law, Jim Iverson.
