Richard Arnold Wilde

Richard Arnold Wilde, 76, of Osage passed away Monday, August 15, 2022 at the Mitchell County Regional Hospital in Osage surrounded by family and friends. Richard was born in Osage, IA on September 8, 1945 to Arnold and Ruth (Dutte) Wilde. He was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church. He attended County School Rock #5 through sixth grade, Grafton Junior High, and Osage High School. Richard married Linda Quindt (Cooper) on June 11, 1966. They became parents of a son, Kevin, in 1969. They later divorced. On August 4, 1979, Richard married Sandra Brennan. Richard farmed in the rural Grafton area, raising hogs, cattle, and crop farming all of his life. He loved attending farm auctions and consignment sales. Richard loved his International tractors and farm equipment. As a lifelong member he served on St. John’s church board as Sunday School Superintendent and Deacon. He also served on the Faith Home Board. Richard is survived by his wife Sandra of 43 years of Osage, IA.; son Kevin (Kristy) Wilde of Charles City, IA.; 3 grandchildren Darren Wilde, Michelle Wilde, and Cody Dunbar; 1 step-grandson Skyler Buss; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law Joe (June) Brennan, Bernie Brennan, Neal (Tammie) Brennan; sister-in-law Mariedna Wilde; along with various nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Ruth; father-in-law and mother-in-law Bernard and Vivian Brennan; brothers, Allen and Fredrick; sister and brother-in-law, Maryls and Charles Jones; brother-in-law, Bill Brennan; and nephews: Brian Wilde, Barry Wilde, and Joey Brennan.
