Denise Marie Tabbert

Denise Marie Tabbert, 62, passed away on August 7, 2022, of natural causes. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am, Friday, August 19, 2022, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1202 - 390th Street, west of Osage, in Rock Township with Rev. Joel Nye officiating. Inurnment will be in St. John’s Cemetery. A gathering will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home. Denise was born April 2, 1960, in Osage, Iowa. She was the second daughter of Eldred and Kathryn (Wenzel) Tabbert. Denise graduated from Osage Community High School in 1978 and NIACC in Mason City, Iowa with an Associates in Arts Degree in 1980. Denise worked most of her life. During her high school years, she worked at A&W restaurant in Osage, even before she was able to drive. Her dad would pick her up at the end of her shift and sometimes get there too early, so he had to have an ice cream cone. She later worked at AC Nielsons in Mason City, Iowa and transferred to Fon du Lac, WI, when the Mason City office closed. Denise came back home to Osage and found employment at Fox River Mills and later found her final job at RR Donnelley in Osage. Denise devoted her life to family. After the death of her older sister and dad, she spent many days with her mom. Together they took trips across the US including Hawaii. While working at Fox River Mills, Denise met her soulmate, Adrian. They made a lifetime of memories in moments shared. Denise was taken away from those who loved her on August 7, 2022. Too soon for many. She is survived and missed by her brothers Dale Tabbert of Osage, Duane (Robin) Tabbert of Grafton, Dwight Tabbert and Darwin (Diann) Tabbert of St. Ansgar; by her sisters Darlene (Mike) Huemann of Osage and Donna (Merle) Johnson of Lake Mills; by special friend Adrian Jones of Ontario, Canada; by 16 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. Denise was preceded in death by her sister, Dianne Kay Voss in 1985, her father in 1987, her mother in 2021; by grandparents Albert and Edna Tabbert and Fred Sr. and Grace Wenzel.
