Herman Terry Smalley

Herman Smalley was born in Hudson, Kansas, on August 22, 1931, the son of Harvey and Martha (Scheib) Smalley. Herman attended Austin High School, graduating in 1949. Herman married Carol Kobernusz on June 30, 1956. He worked for American Can Company for many years and retired from there. He was a member of the United Church of Christ and Nash Car Club. Herman enjoyed attending Cedar Valley Memories. Herman most of all enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Herman is survived by: his wife, Carol; sons, Dennis (Shari) Smalley, Mike (Lynnea) Smalley and Randy Smalley; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Karon (Judy) Smalley and many nieces, nephews and good friends. Herman was preceded in death by: his parents; and 3 siblings.
