Douglas Alan Braun

Douglas Alan Braun, 54, of Northwood, passed away early in the morning on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Douglas was born June 4, 1967 to Raymond and Diann (Shepley) Braun in Mason City, IA. Douglas graduated high school in 1985 from Northwood-Kensett High School. After graduation he was in the Army Reserves for 2 years. He and his father opened R&D Hardware, after that he went to work for Mid-West Construction, then on to work for Directions Research doing telemarketing surveys which became Acre Link. Douglas volunteered with the Kensett Fire Department and was a member of the Kensett Lion's Club when he lived in Kensett. When he lived in Northwood he volunteered with the Northwood Volunteer Fire Company and Northwood Men's Club. His hobbies were spending time with his wife, Dyan and daughter, Lizze and his cats. He liked to grill and watch tv. He also liked cars and going to the car shows and talking to people about their cars. Douglas is survived by his: wife, Dyan; daughter, Elizabeth; father, Raymond (Marlene) Braun; brother-in-law, Richard (Wendy) Davis; sister-in-law, Brenda (Kevin Hinz) Davis-Hinz, Lisa (Erik Grossbach) Davis, Barb (Andy) Caruso; and many nieces and nephews. Douglas is preceded in death by his: mother, Diann Braun; mother and father-in-law, Dennis and Carolyn Davis; brother-in-law, Daniel Davis.
