Lloys “Jeanne” Brown, age 96, of Osage died Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage. . Graveside inurnment services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at the Osage Cemetery with Pastor Gary Gilbert officiating, with military honors by Osage V.F.W. Post 7920 and Osage American Legion Post 278. Jeanne was born June 29, 1923, in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of George and Clara (Small) Reichert. She was raised in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars High School and the University of Iowa and attended graduate school. She married Loren Nadin Brown. They moved to Osage in 1963. Jeanne worked for the Mitchell County ASCS office for 30 years. Jeanne served in the U.S. Navy WAVES for two and half years during World War II, and one year during the Korean Conflict, serving as a Pharmacist Mate Second Class. She was a past president of the WAVES National River City Unit #130 and was a past state Vice-President and past 3rd District president of the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Jeanne was also a member of the American Legion, Eastern Star and where she was a past Matron, and was a past secretary of the Osage Community Chest. She is survived by one niece and four nephews.
