Robert Dean Osgood, 97, of St. Ansgar, passed on to be with the Lord at his house Wednesday, June 30, 2021. He was born at Lakota, IA to Levi and Josephine (Fosen) Osgood, one of 11 children. He is survived by his: wife of 75 years, Patty (Schmitz) Osgood; one daughter, Thilieu (Jerry) Dressen; three sons, Tom Osgood, Dan (Pam) Osgood, Jon (Dawn) Osgood; one sister, June (Russell) Lee; 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Dean fought for his country in WWII. He participated in the D-day invasion, Battle of the Bulge and the capture of Remagen Bridge. He drove a truck running supplies and gasoline to the front and was with the first troops into Paris. By trade Dean was a home builder in Mason City for many years. He also built many beautiful pieces of furniture for family and friends. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a future date. A special thank you to the nurses and aides at St. Croix Hospice for their kind and thoughtful care.
