Brian Keith Duryee

Brian Keith Duryee, 56, of Northwood, passed away early in the morning on Thursday, March 18, 2021. Brian was born November 28, 1964 to Wayne and Marian (Gauthier) Duryee in Riceville, IA. He was the second born of seven children. Brian lived his life "on his own terms". He loved riding his motorcycle on the open road. He had a big heart and was loved by many. Brian loved working with his hands, whether it be building cabinets with long time family friend Tom Capranos, helping family and friends with home projects, or helping his kids. He had a passion for guns, hunting, fishing, and spending time with loved ones. Celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. At Knights of Columbus Hall in Osage, IA. There will be a grave side service held at a later date. Brian is survived by his: parents, Wayne and Marian Duryee; children, Douglas Duryee, Darin (Stephanie Talamentes) Duryee, and Kassondra Kirchgatter; grandchildren, Rowan, Lilly, Christopher, Marcos, and Cruz; brothers and sisters, Mike (Annette) Duryee, Leslie Duryee, John Duryee, Christine (Brian) Huffman, Laurie Duryee, and Paul Duryee; many nieces and nephews. Brian is preceded in death by his nephews, Nick Duryee and Kyle Christensen, niece Jessica Fraizer, and many other family members.
