Ayden Lee Steele, age 16, of St. Ansgar, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Ayden was born on February 9, 2009, in Osage, Iowa, to Adam Steele and Darcy (Patterson) Steele. He was currently a sophomore at St. Ansgar High School. Ayden loved fishing, hanging out with his friends, golfing, and music. He enjoyed singing and had a wonderful voice that we will miss hearing. Most of all, Ayden loved his family. He loved building forts with his nephew, Colter; hunting with his brother, Deven; picking on his older brother, Dom; and always looked forward to the time and car rides he shared with his sister, Olivia. The summers he spent out on the farm with his grandpa, Phil, movie nights with his mom, and motorcycle rides with his dad were such special memories to Ayden.
Ayden was such a good person with a big loving heart who brought so much joy to all of us. He cared about everybody and always wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of. When you think of Ayden, remember him for his incredible hugs and his ability to make us each feel so special.
Ayden is survived by his mom Darcy (Carl) of St. Ansgar; dad, Adam (Tenae) of Hampton; brothers, Domonic (Jordan) of Des Moines, and Deven (Hope) of St. Ansgar; sisters, Noelle of Waverly, and Olivia of Hampton; nephews, Colter and Paxton; a niece arriving in May; step-sister, Makayla of Hampton; maternal grandparents, Phil and Jodi of Osage; paternal grandparents, Dawn (Carl) of Osage and Bill of Northwood; great-grandma, Marjorie of Austin, Minnesota; beloved dog, Violet; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Max and Mildred, and Roger; paternal great-grandparents, Everett and DiAnne; cousins, Scott and Kelsi; and great-uncle, Kevin.
